We are very honoured to be featuring a stunning new collection of Aboriginal art from Joy Nangala Brown, Shanna Napanangka Williams and Amanda Hinkelmann. These artists all have extraordinary stories to tell. Learnings and recollections of their ancestors’ life experiences through traditional iconography and symbolism are woven in their artwork.
This collection boasts both intensely cool and warm palettes, with pieces hailing deep-sky midnight blue and Dreamtime teal to intensely warm palettes of scorched earth red and riverbank sand white.

MURRIYANG
Murriyang represents evenings spent on Country with the artist’s family, taking time to sit and watch the stars that shine overhead. Every star tells a story.

NAPALIJARRI-WARNU JUKURRPA
The Seven Sisters Dreaming is a Jukurrpa (Dreaming) following the seven ancestral Napaljarri sisters, who can still be seen in the night sky today within the cluster of seven stars in the Taurus constellation (more commonly known as Pleiades).
In contemporary Warlpiri paintings, traditional iconography is used to represent the Jukurrpa, associated sites, and other elements. Often depicted in these paintings is the female star Yantarlarangi, who chases these seven sisters for having stolen the night from her.
Elaborate and moody, this piece brings a layered effect to your space with juxtaposing patterns depicted on either side of the canvas. Mesmerizing linework and abstract shapes enhance the neutral palette of deep blue, warm orange-toned beige, and soft white tones.

Soft and effortless, this piece uses traditional Indigenous Aboriginal dot painting to create a uniform feel, yet embraces imperfections with uneven lines and randomised composition. A cool blue palette brings a sense of serenity, with inclusions of soft white and darker blue to create depth and movement.
